Protecting Our Heritage
Project Name: Preservation of heritage by restoration of Rang Mahal Hyderabad.
Project Detail: Restoration of Hyderabad's 19th century British-era Rang Mahal Gardens and Pavilion, now part of the Telangana Mahila Vishwavidyalayam (Women’s University) campus, formerly the University College for Women, Osmania University.
Project Impact: Preservation of cultural heritage. Preservation of different plants, Flora and fauna. Employment to local art workers. 6000 students exposed to Gardon with natural habitat. The Rang Mahal project fulfills the Deccan Heritage Foundation mission of education and adaptive re-use. Digital Skilling & Digital Empowerment
Project Name: Promotion of diversity and inclusion by providing IT skills training to diverse students.
Project Detail: Promote diversity and inclusion through imparting Java skills to Women, Differently abled and others and with placement assistance.
Project Impact: 500 beneficiaries empowered through skill development and technological education of underserved and underprivileged youth, including women, increasing their employability and sustainable livelihood.
Livelihood Support
Project Name: Supporting the training of athletes for Olympics 2024 and Paralympics.
Project Detail: Support Indian athletes in their quest for Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics. Sonatas Grant is utilised for training of 45 athletes and 15 para-athletes in 8 sports, including shooting, badminton, archery, cycling, boxing, wrestling, powerlifting, and athletics for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics.
Project Impact: 54 medals were won by para-athletes at the Asian Para Games 2022 conducted in the month of October 23 supported by OGQ. 15 Gold medals across 5 sports.
Livelihood Support
Project Name: Promoting Traditional Art and Handicrafts through a technical platform.
Project Detail: Sonata provided technical support for Developing an Online website repository for Artisans to display and sell their Products.
Project Impact: Empowerment of artisans: The Co-create app makes it easier for artisans to enroll themselves, showcase their products to a wider audience, and reap greater economic benefits.
Preservation of cultural heritage: By providing a centralized platform to store designs and products of artisans, this initiative can help in documenting and preserving traditional art forms.
Education
Project Name: Foster technical talent from disadvantaged economic backgrounds.
Project Detail: Provided scholarships for underprivileged women students in Engineering college.
Project Impact: Over 32 female students have been awarded Sonata scholarships in SKSVMA Engineering College.

Project Name: Digital education platform for underprivileged students.
Project Detail: Providing technology assistance through the design of an android knowledge-driven app-based learning platform for Agastya – Lab on Tab and Mobile Science Lab. Project Impact: Over 4,000 beneficiaries, including students and teachers.
Case Study: Virupakshi, studying in grade seven at the HPS Somapur School, hails from a low-income family. His parents were committed to providing their children meaningful education. Young Virupakshi aspires to be an ayurvedic doctor one day. He says: “... the Science Lab is greatly helpful to me and I am very much interested in doing experiments in the Science Lab. It helps me know things about the human body in a fun way.”
